Blog #7- Life Philosophy

For this blog, each of you is to find a quote by a famous person that represents your life philosophy (see above quote). You need to copy and paste the quote into your response and state the "author". Then you must explain in a paragraph what you believe this quote means. Then, in a second paragraph, you must explain why this is your life philosophy.

ReplyDeleteI believe this quote means that it is a hard decision to try to help the world or have fun. Every day goes by that a person could make the decision to do one or the other.
This is my life philosophy because I believe it is a difficult decision that every person must make every day. The world could be positively influenced by me or I myself could just enjoy the day.

DeleteI believe this quote is all you need to succeed in life. I think it means that if you fail its not that you’re not good enough. It means you need to learn from your mistakes and in the end you will be better then you were before.
This is my life philosophy because if you fail over and over you will eventually learn from your mistakes and in the end you will succeed. I use it everyday whether it is during school or during a sporting practice/game. If I am not doing well shooting my jump shot I practice and fail at it, but in the end I am better then I was before.

John is trying to say if you’re stupid you don’t get far in life. If you’re stupid you should get education and become smart. I would know this because I’m stupid. But he is trying to tell you if you’re stupid you don’t go to school or have a job. So you really don’t know what to do with your life. This happens to me all the time in school because when a teacher calls on me and I get the question wrong I look stupid.

This quote means that a person relizing that they have good inside of them. this has happen to me when people think im a bad person an that makes me feel bad, but when i really talk to them they relize im not a bad kid and that makes me feel good. My friend Johnnys parents didnt want him to hangout with me alot but when i went over to his house and got to talk to them they relized im a good kid and we hanged out alot more after that.

This is my life philosophy because when I fail at something I try it again and again until I do it right. Also if I never tried or failed I would not get to success. An example is, in math I try to do a problem but I keep doing it wrong but I don't give up and then finally get it right.

This quote means that even though I haven’t succeeded before I’ve learned to just not do it that way. I think it means if you have done it one way and it doesn’t work, don’t do it that way again, but find a different way. This quote also means that there are a billion ways not to do something and a billion ways to do it. You have to keep trying until you get it right.
This is my life philosophy because if I fail at one thing then I can succeed at doing it a different way. I keep on going forward towards what you want to achieve. If it doesn’t work find a new way to keep going to what you want to achieve.

This means that If you just forget about practice, or "take a break" you're never gonna be unbeatable because there is always gonna be someone working harder then you.

ReplyDeleteThe quote is saying that sometimes as hard as it can be to listen to your heart, you should. Listening to your brain all the time may not always be what you want. When you listen to your heart even though it may leave you heart broken or upset, at one point what your heart was saying is what you turly wanted.
This is my philosophy because I used to never listen to my heart and always do what my brain was telling me, but I learned that I should have listened to my heart in the beginning because i knew what I wanted and what I could do to be happy, but my brain told me different to make others around me happy and in the end I wasn't happy. So now even if I get mad or heart broken from listening to my heart atleast I know I am doing what I truly would have wanted.

ReplyDeleteThis quite means that no matter what the occasion is he always came ready to play and to win. He never went soft and always tried as hard as he could. He was so competitive he couldn't not go all out. He wanted to win all the time.
This is my philosophy because in my opinion if you don't play to win, what's the point in playing? If your not going to try then don't play. Simple as that. I go all out no matter what the game is. I play to win. I mean, Herm Edwards said it best besides Jordan when he said "You play to win the game!".

This quote is pretty much saying that everything good ends but dont be sad when it does. Just live in the moment and have fun when it happens. When the good times are done and over with at least you can say you had fun.
This is my life philosophy because I try to look at things on the bright side. I always look back and say I had alot of fun and even if the moments gone now, i still have the memories that will last forever.

I believe this quote means that what happens in the past doesn't control what's going on in your life right now. If something happens in your past that isn't good it doesn't matter because it's over and you can't change it. All that matters is what you're doing now and what's going on in your life now.
This is my life philosphy because things happened that I wish didn't, but it's in the past now so I try not to worry about it. I know there is no changing it so I try to make sure it doesn't have an effect on what I am doing in my life now. Even though it happened and was important in my life then doesn't mean it has to now.

It may be right to do what everybody else is doing but you can’t follow behind somebody for your whole life. One day you’re going to have to make your own choices and do what you think is right.
This is my life philosophy because I am a very independent person. I like to make my own choices and do what makes me happy and not care what everybody else is doing. If I did what everybody else did then I wouldn't be my own person and I wouldn’t be happy. I do what I want to do and nobody can tell me differently.

It is my life philosophy because I don't believe in spending your time doing nothing. There's always something you could do for fun or maybe to just get it done with. I have a rowdy nature so this quote goes good for me.

ReplyDeleteIn the comics where Saint Walker is involved, he uses this quote to represent hope. He believes that with hope, anything can be achieved. I also have come to believe so.
The reason this is my life philosophy is simple. If it weren't for hope, people wouldn't want to be professional athletes, or president, or anything that may not seem achievable. But with hope, people work for those things, hoping that they will succeed.

ReplyDeleteThis quote pretty much explains itself. Take your time don’t live your life to fast, meaning don’t rush things. Troubles come, and they will pass, means that even when things even when things are going bad, they will always get better. And don’t forget son, there is someone up above, meaning there is a higher force out there.
This is my philosophy in life because I think that too many people rush in life and don’t take time to enjoy the little things, if something was meant to be it will work out in the end. I have always believed that things could always be worse so look on the bright side and keep pushing on, and even though I’m not the most religious person out there by any means, I believe that there is a higher force who will protect you when you need it the most.

ReplyDeleteAfter you have already lived a part of your life then there is now way back to change what you did then. You must not wait for the past to catch up. You must go and figure out what to do in the future.
This quote means many things to me. Such as if i mess up in the past then i shouldnt worry about it. I should move on with my life and continue to acheive my maximum goal in life. This also tells me to never turn around to fix anything cause it would be to late.

This quote was in the book I read, The Contender. I really like this quote. It relates to my life because I have been a contender my whole life. I have resently become a champion, becuase I won sectionals.
This is my life philosophy because I think every one is a contender. You were not always the best there ever was. Someone before you, did what you did. You did not out of nowhere become a champion. You need to compete and try before you can be a champion.

I believe this quote can mean a few things. In my mind, it means that if you believe in your dreams, you will achieve them. Another point is if you see the beauty in your dreams, you can achieve the full greatness in them.
This quote applies to me in many ways. One way is that I have many different dreams that I would like to achieve. Some of these are long-term goals, and some are not. I believe if you believe in yourself and work hard, anyone can achieve their dreams. This quote is very motivational and makes me try even harder.

To me it means live life to the fullest and do the things you have always wanted to do because if you never get to do them, you will regret it later on in life. It also means dont live a boring life, do many fun interesting things and have many adventures.

ReplyDeleteThis quote to me means that if say you get a bad grade on a test you do not joke around and say oh well and just forget about it. If you get a bad grade on a test look it over and see what you did to get that grade, and then for next time that there is a test you will study and get a better grade.
So don’t take everything seriously, sometimes take things as a joke your life has to be fun once in a while.

This is a quote from a book about someone jumping over the edge of their sanity and not finding a way back up over the edge. It's fairly straight forward so I don't think I need to explain it.
I freely admit I think I'm insane. I will hide it wonderfully but sometimes I just can't hide it and I act really weird. I love being insane. It sometimes gives you a different perspective on the world. A road you've been on so many times you can sleep and still know where you are, you don't notice the little old man living homeless on the side of it. You ride the highway to Binghamton everyday, you don't notice how perfectly the hills frame the houses down in the valley. You don't notice that some wood smoke is rising on a cold day above the hills. On an autumn day and the sun is setting, you don't notice that the clouds are the exact same shade as the brilliantly red, orange and yellow leaves. When you have nothing else to think about, because crazy people don't think, you notice these and wonder about them and ponder them for hours on end. You have to look at everything and appreciate how beautiful this whack job of a world is. Even sane people can do that. Don't leave it the nut jobs to do it for you. Look at the world around you and soak it in. It might not be there much longer in this short life.

ReplyDeleteI believe that this quote means if you want something you have to have courage to get what you want. Sounds like George Patton didn’t have faith in himself. He tried what ever he had to do and in the end he got what he wanted. Fear can go a long way but you need some courage to do something that might be really good at. So take a chance Columbus did and he found the places we live in today.
I had a big fear in 7th grade, I didn’t know if I wanted to do track because I was fearful of track. I needed some courage, and after my first track meet I new that I made a good choose. Track is now my favorite sport in the world now thankful to some good friends I have. So everyday we need some courage to do the things that we might think that we will do badly at. I need courage in everything that I do, so that is how I think that this quote plays a big role in my life.
